Well done guys!
On October 6 we had the opportunity to participate in the Fire Prevention Week open house at Fire Station #3. The event was well attended by members of the community and it was a great chance for us to show off ham radio.
We were able to have the trailer setup inside the firehall. The doors were open so the public were able to come in and see various demonstrations and ask questions. We were able to show off APRS, ARES, 2m, and HF operations. Mark (VE6BHO) was able to string up a dipole antenna outside and participate in the California QSO Party.
Thanks to VA6AWS, VE6BHO, VE6KD, and VE6STE for making this event a success.
Once again a group of us gathered at the home of VE6KD to participate in the annual RAC Canada Day contest. Thanks again to Dave Gervais for hosting us again this year and allowing us to use his shack and equipment for the contest.

We assembled a 6 meter antenna on the fly to make some 6M contacts.
Echolink is currently offline on the VE6LAW repeater.
The computer hosting this service has decided to pack it in. We are in the process of looking for a replacement as it is not repairable. Once the replacement computer is acquired there will be some setup time required as well as some tweaking required once it’s on the air.
Thanks for your patience while we work on getting Echolink back online.
