  • Welcome to the new site!

After many years the North Central Alberta Amateur Radio Club has a new website.  Many thanks to Jeff (VE6EFR), Mark (VE6BHO), and Steve (VE6STE) for helping me get the site up and running.

There is still some work to do on the site.  I’m still working on adding some new features and tweaking what we have already setup.  If you have any suggestions you can drop me an email using the form on the contact us page – just select my call sign.  Also please let me know if you find something that isn’t working.

Enjoy the new site and keep checking back to see what we’ve added!

    73,

    Andrew – VA6AWS

  • Tour de l’Alberta

On a warm sunny 25th of July, in an area surrounding Morinville Alberta, the North Central Alberta Radio Club for the second year provided the event communications. This event has approximately 800 cyclists and an additional 300 volunteers which encompasses 4 different tour lengths. (20 km’s, 50 km’s, 100 km’s & 185 km’s)

The club members enjoyed the event and felt they had provided a service necessary to all as well as having been most courteously and generously treated. In all the tour was a well attended event of which the organizers can be justly proud. For more information check the Tour de l’Alberta website.

Below is a gallery of photos taken during the event.
